I totally agree, Avery. I think we may set “SJW reasons” bar at a different place. I basically see Lovecraft as failing even by racist standards. That he fails by anti racist standards is obvious.

Despite that, his metaphors and ideas are compelling. No one thinks it’s odd when someone defends the worthiness of some policy by a racist politician, after all.
